Google Ads without the wasted spend
Full account ownership: tracking that tells the truth, campaigns built around your best jobs, and reporting an owner can actually read.
Most service-business ad accounts leak money in ways the owner never sees: conversion goals that count accidental taps as leads, keywords that haven't produced a call in a year, and geo settings showing ads to people who will never book. The first thing Knoxline does is audit — and the audit almost always pays for itself.
From there we rebuild conversion tracking so a "lead" means a real phone call from an ad, restructure campaigns around your most profitable job types, and manage budgets weekly. For businesses running Housecall Pro or another CRM, we connect marketing back to the operational data whenever possible so ad performance can be judged against real booked work. Every month you get plain-English reporting: calls, cost per call, and where the month is heading. No dashboards you need a translator for.
- Full account audit & junk-spend cleanup
- Conversion tracking rebuilt around real calls
- Campaign builds by job type
- Weekly budget & bid management
- Monthly plain-English reporting
One-time Google Ads audit: $1,200. We'll uncover wasted spend, junk keywords, bad geo settings, and tracking problems. Usually pays for itself the first month.
The gap
Why most home-service ad accounts waste money
Most owners we talk to aren't running a bad business. They're running an ad account that reports good numbers that aren't true. Google's dashboard says leads are up, but the phone isn't ringing more.
- Ghost conversions. Map taps, direction clicks and page views counted as "leads." In one audit, nearly 40% of reported conversions were actions like these, not customers.
- Junk search terms. Keywords that haven't produced a call in a year, and searches for jobs you don't do, parts, DIY help or jobs at competitors.
- Wrong geography. Ads shown to people outside the area you can actually serve.
- Budget spread thin. Money split evenly across every service instead of weighted toward the jobs that make you the most profit.
None of that shows up in Google's optimization score. It shows up in what each real customer costs you.
The build
How we manage Google Ads
Audit first
Every engagement starts with a full account audit: conversion settings, search terms, keywords, geography, bidding and budgets. The audit is also available on its own for $1,200.
Tracking that tells the truth
Conversion tracking is rebuilt so a "lead" means a real phone call or form from a real customer, and Google's bidding optimizes for that instead of map taps.
Campaigns by job type
Campaigns are restructured around your most profitable services (premium brands, commercial work, high-ticket installs) so budget goes where margin is.
Plain-English reporting
Every month: calls, cost per call, what changed and where the month is heading. No dashboards that need a translator.
The process
What working with us looks like
30-minute call
You tell us what the account is supposed to be doing and what it's actually producing. We'll tell you honestly whether an audit is worth it.
Audit & findings
We review the account with read access and deliver a written summary of wasted spend, tracking problems and fixes, ranked by impact.
Rebuild
If we manage the account, we fix tracking, block junk, restructure campaigns and reset budgets. If you only bought the audit, you keep the fix list.
Manage & report
Ongoing management means weekly budget and bid checks and a monthly report you can read in five minutes.

Common questions
Google Ads management FAQ
What is a "ghost conversion"?
An action Google counts as a conversion that isn't a real lead, such as a map tap, a direction click or a page view. Counting them inflates your results and teaches Google's bidding to chase the wrong people.
What does the $1,200 audit include?
A full review of conversion tracking, search terms, keywords, geographic targeting, bidding and budgets, plus a written list of what to fix, ranked by impact. You keep it whether or not we manage the account afterward.
Do you need access to our account?
Yes. You add us as a user on your Google Ads account. You keep ownership of the account and all its history.
Do we have to sign a long contract?
The audit is a one-time project. Ongoing management is a monthly retainer, scoped on a call.
Which industries do you run ads for?
Home-service businesses: appliance repair, roofing, septic and similar trades, plus real estate agents. We know how these businesses get booked, which is why we track calls rather than clicks.
Can you tie ads to the jobs we actually book?
Often, yes. If you use Housecall Pro or JobNimbus, we can connect ad performance to your job data so you see what a booked job really costs.
